What got you into cosplay?
I've been involved in theatre all my life, and I've always loved making and wearing costumes. Once I started going to anime conventions, I knew I wanted to give it a try.
What was your first costume and why?
Jean Havoc, from Fullmetal Alchemist. He's my favorite character from the show and I was dying to make one of the military uniforms.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Still Jean Havoc. It makes me so happy to be him for the day.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I'd love to make some high-fantasy ones; more from Pet Shop of Horrors, maybe, or Vampire Hunter D. Also, one of these days I'm definitely doing Ginko from Mushishi.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Being picked up and swung around by Roy Mustang.
Do you participate in masquerades?
No, but I would very much like to.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Best of Grayscale at MangaNEXT 2008 for Medusa
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a dramatic writer. I live in New York City and do whatever work I can get. I also enjoy art.
