What got you into cosplay?
Seemed like fun, that was about it.
What was your first costume and why?
The first I ever made was Bridget from Guilty Gear, in 2004, the costume was made on a bet and was terrible, I had no sewing machine and could barely sew. Really, my first was Lunasa Prismriver, because someone suggested a group to me.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Gino, because it looks good, was fun to make and I like the character. Plus, it is one of few costumes where my height (6'1) goes in my favour.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Nyx Avatar, from Persona 3. I do have various things filed away towards that end, and sometime I'll know how to put it all together.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes, but not really competitively, my costumes arn't good enough to win me anything.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a trainee teacher, which means I spend half my time in university and half in schools teaching; this gives me some time for cosplay, but not as much as I'd like. Outside of cosplay, I watch not nearly as much anime as friends want me to keep up with, but enough to find new costumes to make. The same thing goes for my video gaming, one day I'll finish Phoenix Wright 2. I also like cooking, particularly sauce based dishes and curries and playing squash and badminton.
