What got you into cosplay?
Some great friends and Sailor Moon.
What was your first costume and why?
Lab-coat/School Pluto. I was the tallest in our group, so I was perfect as sailor pluto! We went with her school uniform because it was so easy to put together [pretty much one trip to the thrift-store].
What is your favorite costume and why?
My friend Brenda's Queen Serenity costume -it's so elegant!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
The next costume I'd like to make is Sumomo, but my total dream costume is Sailor Chibimoon -I'm just a little too tall for that one, I think.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Whenever people actually recognize me as Setsuna/Pluto -she's not the most popular scout, so when it happens, it's magical!
Do you participate in masquerades?
I like to watch them... I don't know if I'd ever want to get up on stage.
What was your best masquerade experience?
There was a guy who did crazy yo-yo tricks at colossalcon 2008, that was awesome!
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
No, but then again, I haven't entered.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a grad student at CSU, I have the most awesome parents in the world, I'm a substitute teacher, and I love to knit!
