About Me / Q&A

What got you into cosplay?
My BFF and love of anime and role playing!
What was your first costume and why?
Hyuuga Neji from Naruto (Shippuden outfit). This being my first cosplay, I bought it online. I have an attachment to it in the sense that it was the only costume I wore until I learned how to sew.
What is your favorite costume and why?
At the moment...it would be Cho Hakkai from Saiyuki. I don't have to act aloof, and it is really comfy and easy to wear. (Except for the monocle, especially multiple days in a row.)
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Haha, so I'm competely re-vamping this section as ambitions change and whatnot. Top of the list atm is Leon from Trinity Blood, since TB costumes are crazy on the details, plus it'd be a challenge make-up wise as well. Then I want to try to do Brook from One Piece, Dewey Novak from Eureka Seven, and I have a lot of other costumes in my list...
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
When some good friends of mine (who had never seen me in cosplay before) didn't recognize me when I was cosplaying Neji. I went up to them and said 'hi', but they looked at me like I was a complete stranger. The look on their faces was priceless when they found out it was me. XD
Do you participate in masquerades?
No. I want to, but don't have a group to participate with, and it's no fun by myself. TT^TT
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm an Entertainment Major at an art school called Cogswell Polytechnical in Saratoga. I live at home in San Jose though. I work down the street as a Professional Bather at PetSmart's Grooming salon. I love to draw, play D&D, and LARP.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I need more time to sew my costumes...
My favorite anime
Gankutsuou, Eureka seveN, Key the Metal Idol, Soul Eater, Naruto, Bleach, Saiyuki, D. Gray-Man, One Piece, Ruroni Kenshin, Samruai Champloo, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Full Metal Alchemist, Gurren Lagann, Mushishi... ...list will grow as I think of more.
