What got you into cosplay?
Looking for a costume for my 40th Birthday Party, and I found 'Lara Croft' so it started from there.
What was your first costume and why?
As above.Lara Croft because I wanted a quick easy costume that was recognisable for my themed Birthday party.
What is your favorite costume and why?
I'm very fond of my Arwen, and Jadis costumes, because they were the hardest to make.But I like any costume that is easy and comfortable to wear,that's why I like Kill Bill and Tonks...
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Not at this time,no.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
I loved the times when I was at conventions, and firstly saw Chris Barrie( who plays Hillary in the Tomb Raider films).He looked up from signing and saw me dressed as Lara in her silver wetsuit( from The Cradle of Life film).His jaw just dropped... Then at another I was dressed as Coronation Arwen and I saw Craig Parker( Who plays Haldir), and he said my dress was wonderful...
Do you participate in masquerades?
I LOVE to whenever I can...
What was your best masquerade experience?
Well we don't have many yet in the UK, but I was lucky enough to go to SDCC in 2004.I chatted with American friends over the internet and we entered a Lord of the Rings group in the Masquerade there.We didn't win anything, because it was SO difficult trying to get everyone together at one time, but we had SO MUCH FUN!
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I was lucky enough to come second and third in the competitions that we have had in the UK though... And I have won first place in some of the Lara Croft Look a like competitions online...
Tell us a little about yourself
I have a family,one little girl who's nine.She isn't into cosplay ( yet,LOL), and neither is my Hubby ( although I did get him to dress as Two Face at a convention once).He does manage to take some photo's for me though. I work part time as a Beauty Consultant for YSL( so I know a little about make up). My other hobby is Metal Detecting( so I am such a nerd)
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I find that cosplay gives me great creative outlet, and helps me to relax, plus I have met many interesting people through this hobby. Oh yes, and if anyone can arrange it for me to be to be on a desert island with just Gerard Butler and Clive Owen, I'd be eternally greatful!

I'm not so much of an Anime fan, but quite like the 'cutesy' cartoons
My favorite game(s)
Tomb Raider,and I'm totally hooked on Half Life - Counter strike .
My favorite book(s)
I must admit that I don't really like reading much.But I'll read anything that grabs me from cover to cover... I do love the Harry potter books though.

Galaxy Quest( my fave) But I love supernatural,horror,fantasy and sci-fi films too
