What got you into cosplay?
I looked up pictures from other cosplayers and wondered how I'd look as someone else.
What was your first costume and why?
Ranma (girl) 'cause it was easy and fun for a first time cosplay. (I had no talent for sewing..and still don't) I was also small at the time (smaller than now) and had the perfect height for her.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Will have to be Kaidoh Kaoru from the Prince of Tennis. I love tennis and it was really cool to be able to be the viper for a day. Even if our playing styles are different Kaidoh plays with this odd zombie set of mind determination. I cosplayed him for Anime Boston '06 for the Masquerade performance of TeniMyu. Even though our group had a couple of bumps in the way we pulled through!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I'm not really sure anymore. Probably Jubei-Chan: Ninja girl because that's been in the planning for a long time now but I'd have to see.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Masquerade performance at Anime Boston '06. Met so many wonderful people backstage and even though we fudged out performance a bit we made it through!
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes, so far three times. Four for Anime Boston '07, Possibly Anime Next '07 too. Anime Boston '04 - GW EW - Chang Wufei - skit AUSA '04 - FLCL - Haruhara Haruko - Skit and walk on Anime Boston '06 - TeniMyuEast preformence skit, prince of tennis musical - BURNING
What was your best masquerade experience?
Anime Boston '06, we practiced so hard and through we slightly messed up (our Taka falling OFF stage o_o;) we pulled through.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?

Judge award (AUSA '04) for Haruko, it was for my vespa made out of cardboard.
Judgge award (AUSA '04) for FLCL/Gravitation skit.
Judge award (AnimeBoston '06) For TeniMyuEast - Prince of Tennis musical - BURNING - preformence
Tell us a little about yourself
I am a senior in NHP memorial (;_; last year!) and plan on attending SUNY Farmingdale for more learning time. Before our season ended I played on the girls varsity tennis team and I hope to continue in Farmingdale. We ended our season well, 14-2. ;_; lost our first game and our last (play offs) but before that season we were undefeated conference champs! I also did Shinkendo: Japanese sword fighting. I've had to take a year hiatus from it though because of my increased workload and it got too pricey. I hope to continue next fall. I do continue practicing on my own but it just isn't the same.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I am a big fan of Anime musicals. So far my favorites are BLEACH and The Prince of Tennis. I have seen everyone of of them (DVD) and hope to see at least ONE live performance in the next two years. My licking for actor troupes have branched off so now I follow the D-Boys, *pnish*, and Smiley & Spikey.
