What got you into cosplay?
In 2005, my friend Nessa and I were going to FanimeCon in San Jose, and she introduced me to the idea of cosplay, where you dress up as your favorite characters from your favorite anime. I was going to go as Kikyo that time, but ended up not doing it.
In 2008, one of my friends asked me to cosplay L in a school rendition of Monty Python and the Holy Grail as a joke at the end of the play to fake out the director.
It was just a joke, but I really enjoyed it. xD So, I kept on going and my plans for cosplay have accumulated over the last few months.
What was your first costume and why?
My first real character was L, but in Fanime '05 I went as a nekomimi girl in a kimono. I guess that's not really cosplay, is it?
What is your favorite costume and why?
At the moment, I'd say Axel. I know there's been a lot of people to dress up as him and everything, but he's such fun to impersonate and pursue Roxases in. It's fun to be an egotistical, pyromaniacal jerk, because he actually has a good side and cares about people. Well, some of them, at least.

Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Hmmm. I'd like to do something really magnificent, maybe something that involves making wings. I don't know how I'd do that, but that's my dream.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
At Fanime 2009, challenging a Zuko cosplayer to an Agni Kai while I was Axel.

Do you participate in masquerades?
If by 'participate' you mean 'attend', then YES. My cosplay group were planning on being in the masquerade at Kumoricon09, but we missed the deadline by a long shot. Maybe we'll be in it in 2010! :D
