What got you into cosplay?
My parents had always been into dressing up and cosplaying, so they got me into that when I was a small girl. Some of my older friends also cosplayed and I had admired all the work they put into all their costumes. I decided to join them since I thought that it would be a great experience, and I would enjoy cosplaying.
What is your favorite costume and why?
My favorite costume is Mio Akiyama. Overall, it's comfortable and I have a wonderful time as her! I have so many versions of her, and I absolutely love the character.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
As of right now, I have already completed my dream cosplay. It was of Teto Kasane in her Cendrillon dress. I don't really think I have any other dream cosplays on my agenda.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Spending time with a few of my friends who cosplay. That's the thing that I can always look back at and laugh. I must say, though, all my BEST memories come from AnimeFESTs that I've attended.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes, I do.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Waiting in the back rooms to be called to get on stage. It's the most tense time, but everyone around you is anxious to start the show, and they're all so nice!
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Yes, multiple, in fact--my most recent one was a trophy at Anime Matsuri 2011 for my Angel Stocking cosplay.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a student at a high school with a stupid name in a tiny town near Austin. My family consists of two loving, supporting parents and one little brother, all whom cosplay. I don't work yet, since I'm too young to. My hobbies would probably be making craft related things. Y'know, like props, masks, cosplay. Stuff like that. Cosplaying is a huge part of my life.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
My parents support my cosplaying all the way, since they both love it, and they think it's a great way of expressing myself. My mum even cosplays with me.
