What got you into cosplay?
I was preparing for my first convention -- Otakon XIV (2007) -- and a friend, who I was going to the con with, said we should go all the way and cosplay. And the rest is history.
What was your first costume and why?
Nanao Ise, from Bleach. It was only because Bleach had enough characters for a big group and I looked like her. I am embarrassed about that costume. Pfft, I don't ever want to revisit that one.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Mukuro Rokudo, from Katekyou Hitman Reborn! My most accurate costume to date, and he gives me an excuse to be a lecherous creeper.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
I was in Chinatown with some friends, and I saw this group of Reborn! cosplayers. When I asked for a photo from the Hibari/ Death the Kid crossover cosplayer, she said to me, "Hey! I remember you from New York Anime Fest! You were Mukuro!" It was extremely flattering that she recognized me, especially since I wasn't even in costume.
