What got you into cosplay?
Ever since I was in middle school, I've always wanted to cosplay. When I was growing up my family never celebrated Halloween, so I never got the chance to wear a costume. I always wanted to, though. Unfortunately, there aren't any conventions at Puerto Rico that I know of. When I was 18, me & my family moved to Florida. A year after that, I started working at Walt Disney World (EPCOT, to be precise), where I met one of my best friends, Becca. What made us such close friends was the fact that we both LOVE anime, & she was a cosplayer herself. Naturally, she would recruit me to cosplay "Ouran High School Host Club" along with our friends Ally & Jessie. Since I picked one of the twins, I dragged my sister Lory along to cosplay the other... we we're like twins already! (twins that are 4 years apart... creepy -_-;)
What was your first costume and why?
My very first cosplay was Hikaru Hiitachin dressed casually (it's the episode we're they give Haruhi a surprise visit) along with my sister Lory cosplaying Kaoru, his twin. We picked it because our official cosplay was still in the works & this seemed to be pretty easy to put together. And it was! (after an all-nighter, of course. It was due the next day) It came out FANTASTIC!!!
What is your favorite costume and why?
So far, my favorite costume is the Kurogane from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles costume I made for MegaCon '09. It just looks so COOL! I have a sword for it and everything!!! And posing for pictures always feels awesome!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I remember that me & my best friend, Ada (with which I was best friends since we were 6... that's 16 years!) used to talk about how awesome it would be if we had cons at Puerto Rico. Her dream was to cosplay Kikyo from Inuyasha (which I NEVER liked, but she LOVED!). After I moved to Florida & discovered the wonderful world of cons, I went back to Puerto Rico to see her & told her all about it. She got so excited that we planned her trip to Florida for the summer so she could come with me to a con. Unfortunately, she got sick & died in the hospital the winter before that fun-filled summer we planned. So I've decided to cosplay Kikyo in her honor. I hope that one day I can pull it off.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
I don't know... there are a lot! LOL! So far, one of the highlights in my cosplaying life would have to be when Vic Mignogna put his arm around me for a pic. I was like "OMG! THE Vic Mignogna!!! XD" But I'll think really hard to come up with more, k? ^_~
Do you participate in masquerades?
Not yet... but I'd LOVE to!!! *^-^*
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Unfortunately, not yet... T-T
Tell us a little about yourself
Well, for one, my real name is Nashira. I live with both of my parents, my sister Lory (but you already knew that) & my brother Leo. You already know where I work... lemme see.. what else... well... I'm currently in college studying Graphic Arts... uh... and other than Cosplay, I enjoy tons of Anime & Manga, reading, TV, Internet, Music & Art!

I LOVE manga! My favorites are: Fullmetal Alchemist, Ouran High School Host Club, Hana-Kimi, Vampite Knight, Gaba-Kawa, Pet Shop of Horrors, Honey Hunt, Honey and Clover, etc... But I also like "normal" books. Some of my favorites are: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn, The Alchemist, Brida, Veronica Decides to Die, A Girl's Guide to Vampires, etc...
