What was your first costume and why?
Sakura's costume from her final judgement in the Cardcaptor Sakura manga. I picked it because I knew my mom would only ever help me with one costume (she'd know too well what went into it the second time) so I'd better make it a challenging one! :D It was a lot of work but I really love how it came out - especially the applique on the cape.
Do you participate in masquerades?
I have once with a group of friends because they needed me to be the n00b character for their .Hack skit. Its nerve-wracking but a lot of fun if you actually have something prepared in advance and know what you're doing.
What was your best masquerade experience?
We won "Best Recovery from Server Lag" for the .Hack skit because our cd died 30secs from the end. We all just froze. The audience started calling out "Server Lag!" and "Somebody call Bob!" (the entire cast of reboot was a previous skit that year). It was hilarious! I'm sad I didn't end up getting carried offstage as dead like I was supposed to though if we'd been able to finish the skit properly.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Anime North Hall Costume awards every year since 2003 for various costumes.
Won "Best Recovery from Server Lag" for my group's .Hack masquerade skit at Canadian FanExpo 2007 (also historically known as CNAnime)
