What got you into cosplay?
I always enjoyed hand-sewing, and once I got a sewing machine costuming seemed to be a fantastic idea of how best to enjoy myself! I enjoy the puzzle of how to make something best as well as the payoff of my hard work and effort. I've always been artistic, but this is so far my favorite way to express it. (My drawing sucks!)
What was your first costume and why?
When I first went to GenCon in 2004 I threw together some piss poor examples of costumes so I could thoroughly enjoy the festivities. I chose Cammy (Street Fighter) and Celes Chere (FFVI) because I could find stuff to dye and modify without needing a sewing machine. They are horribly embarassing and I will never willingly admit it was me!
What is your favorite costume and why?
So far I've only made two: Sailor Pluto from Sailor Moon adn Celes Chere from FFVI. I admire both characters and it'd be hard to choose, but the relaxed pace I took in making Pluto makes hers a little more favored!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Nope! I believe in doing what I want to make most and forcing myself into having the ability! Practice makes perfect; no need to start off on a costume that I'll only moderately appreciate.
