What got you into cosplay?
Seeing the pictures of cosplayers online, and my interest in sewing.
What was your first costume and why?
Rinoa Heartilly from Final Fantasy VIII. I was playing the game at the time, and her costume seemed easy enough to figure out.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Ummm...For completed costumes I'd have to say my original Steampunk costume. It's really fun to wear and I loved making it. Otherwise I'd have to say my Yukari Hayasaka runway gown, it's just breathtaking.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
The dress Idina Menzel wears in the second act of Wicked and the Beetle Ball costume from Thumbelina.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Judging the craftsmanship for the Anime Boston masquerade. I am really lucky for being able to have such a wonderful opportunity to see other cosplayers loving work up close. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes, though not as much as I'd like to since I can't get to many cons outside of New England.
What was your best masquerade experience?
I have two, being a judge at Anime Boston 2007 and competing at Anime Boston 2008.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Yes, Honorable mention presentation (novice) for Warrior Yuna, Squall and White Mage Rikku at Anime Boston 2005 and 1st Place Master Presentation at Anime Boston 2008.

I hold a degree in Fashion Design and Retailing from FSC, I live in Rhode Island, and work for a custom dressmaking company located in Framingham, MA.
