What got you into cosplay?
Reading Cosplay Girls: Japan's Live Action Heroines a year before my trip to Japan. I still view myself as a cameko (photographer) than a cosplayer as I would prefer to dress up when I'm a member of a group...
What was your first costume and why?
Wearing a bath yukata I got as a souvenir from Japan at Anime Expo 2008...I felt out of place not wearing something Japanese at the event.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Hopefully my Meito Anisawa (Lucky Star) that I challenged my cousin to make after I mentioned how much cosplays can cost...she said she could do it for less, and she was right.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Mansuke's Oz avatar (ninja squid) from Summer Wars
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Seeing the cosplayer dressed up as Mizore Shirayuki at ALA 2009...I just thought I was the only one who watched that series. It took a while for me to figure out it was a crossplayer...
Do you participate in masquerades?
No...I prefer to be behind the camera than in front most of the time.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
No...I don't cosplay for awards, just to have fun...
Tell us a little about yourself
Disneyland, former martial arts student (got too expensive), volunteerism, working a regular job
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
You'll probably see me more often out of costume than in costume.
My favorite anime
Boys Be...(first series I saw in its entirety), Kanon, Clannad, Shangri-La, K-On!, Lucky Star, Full Metal Panic, Ah My Goddess, Love Hina, Azumanga Daioh, Coyote Ragtime Show, anything from Studio Ghibli, Air Gear, Strike Witches
