What got you into cosplay?
Having a connection to the characters, both personality wise and physical appearance wise. I knew with practice and dedication, I would be able to pull off the cosplays I wanted with success.
What was your first costume and why?
First real cosplay (other than casual versions or Halloween reinactments) was Arashi from the fashion manga, Paradise Kiss. I really connected to his personality and liked the clothing style he had.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Now that's a good question. I really like the reactions I got as Edward Elric, since I made a lot of friends in that costume and had a fantastic time at the Expo '06 FMA gathering.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Wow, that's quite an extensive list, to be honest:
+ Military Howl from the Howl's Moving Castle movie.
+ Romeo from the Romeo x Juliet anime.
+ Kuzco from Disney's The Emperor's New Groove.
+ Kimono Sora from the Sukisho anime.
+ Souji Mikage from the Shoujo Kakumei Utena anime.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
I've had quite a few, to be honest. I liked the time I was cosplaying Ritsuka and my friend Sey cosplayed Soubi. We went to a boba shop and when I wasn't paying attention, she took my picture on her camera phone and it was just something so incharacter to do. That stuck with me for a while.
I always had fun cosplaying Matt and Mello with my girlfriend too. We've done several outfits and photoshoots, each time seemingly better than the last. I had great fun on my bday hanging out at Burger King in Wammy House outfits with our friend Kyle who did L.
Cosplaying Jasdero and Debitt with my friend Kelly at Expo '07 was filled with laughs and stupidity. We ran around reinacting the DBZ fusion dance and kept shooting things or people that walked by with our guns.
Always feel confident when in my Arashi cosplay, especially since I now have a permanent Miwako at my side. We've done three outfits from the manga as a set and always got great reactions to each.
Do you participate in masquerades?
My first masquerade was at Expo '07 doing a D. Gray-Man themed skit.
What was your best masquerade experience?
The D. Gray-Man skit was a parody of events from the earlier chapters and the audience really seemed to enjoy it. Planning times to meet up for practice was frustrating, but everyone in the group had a really great time and I wouldn't mind doing it again.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Not yet.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a poet, I like acting and photography. I like watching animes and reading yaoi fanfictions. I have even written a few shoneni ai fictions in the past, spanning different genres. Spending time with my awesome cosplay friends, taking photos and clubbing.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Don't judge a book by its cover. I've had mixed reactions in the past, because people judge me by a particular experience or encounter they've had. Underneath the surface, I'm really no different than anyone else.

I don't really watch tv or movies, but I did like Lucy Lawless and Ryan Gosling when I was growing up.
