About Me / Q&A

What got you into cosplay?
When my boyfriend and I got together he was already a huge cosplayer and I decided to help make his costumes and maybe make some of my own. That opened a door that I can't live without now. I enjoy every part of cosplay from making the costume to showing it off at con and in public.
What was your first costume and why?
Tron Bonne was the first and I still love it to this day.
What is your favorite costume and why?
My favorite cosplay is my upgraded Tron Bonne because of how accurate it is to the games and for all the amazing props I get to tote around with me at convention.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
My dream costume is actually two. The first is Mu-13 from Blazblue because of her complex costume and the physical shape I need to be in to do it justice. The second is to make Orta and her dragoon from Panzer Dragoon Orta. It would be a monumental task but I would like to think that someday I will be up to the challenge.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
The most memorable experience I ever had was in San Jose at Fanime 2010. My boyfriend and I had driven down with all our props for Iron Tagger and Litchi all because 1. they were to large for the plane and 2. because we wanted to bring everything for the costumes so we could meet the people who did all the art for the game. It was a long drive but beyond worth it. When we went to get the autographs, we found a long line (like in most cons). What we didn't expect is that when the artist looked up and saw us they started frantically calling us in Japaneses to come over so they could get pictures. It was so much fun. The rather funny part is that after they got the pictures they wanted we still had to go the the end of the line. Our consolation was that when we made it to the front they both drew our characters and signed their names on our props.
Do you participate in masquerades?
No I don't.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
None yet, but I have only entered once.
