About Me / Q&A

What got you into cosplay?
Batman, no joke. When I was considering buying or making my first Harley costume in 2007 for Halloween, I checked out a lot of different forums, and became a fan of a lot of professional cosplayers. I never had the funds for it before recently though. After attending A-kon 19, I decided that I would love to get serious with cosplaying. Its just so much fun!
What was your first costume and why?
I suppose Sally. That was the first costume I actually made myself. It was mainly because my new boyfriend and I were both way into the Nightmare Before Christmas, and had gone to see it in 3-D about a hundred times that year. All of our friends suggested Jack and Sally for that Halloween and it just stuck. He hasn't done Jack since, but he does do the Joker for me from time to time!
What is your favorite costume and why?
Harley Quinn, hands down. You know, the generic "ever since I was a little girl watching B:TAS I loved her blahblah" XD She is so much fun to be, and for me the easiest character to slip into. With Harley, I can be loud, wacky, goofy and just fun! I can get around from place to place by skipping! I love her character, her backstory, her personality, her love, everything about her.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Samus Aran is a costume I would LOVE to make. I would love to learn proper armor making and lighting techniques!
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Probably A-kon 20. The whole thing was just fun. I ran around telling corny jokes to people, and hung out with a few really cool Jokers. One in particular was amazing, I was running by to hit up this one booth, and I just heard this loud, perfect Mark Hamill-Joker voice yell out "HARRRLEEEEYYY!!!" and I stopped in my tracks and ran to him. XD It was a ton of fun being in character with completely random people at the con.
