What got you into cosplay?
I just love wearing costumes! I also like anime and I love video games, so cosplaying was kind of a natural.
What was your first costume and why?
I did Bakura Ryou for Anime North '09. I kind of have a giant soft spot for stupid children's anime, plus I'd been watching a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged lately. I figured Bakura wouldn't be too hard for a first costume, since it's a lot of found items, but it was pretty ambitious to do wig play on my first try! It came out nice.
What is your favorite costume and why?
I'd have to say that so far, my favorite would have to be Scout from TF2. It's comfy to wear and a fun costume to get in character for. When I'm Scout, I know I have a weekend of running around and bonking people ahead of me. It's also really fun to pose with the bat and other TF2 cosplayers are super awesome and fun!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Lots! My list of hopefully upcoming costumes includes: Chun Li from Street Fighter, Pit from Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Ulala from Space Channel 5.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
I just love group shoots! The Yugioh group shoots at AN 09 were really incredible, as I had never experienced it before, but the TF2 group shoots at Toracon 10 were even better! We had 15 people wandering around together for the better part of the day and it was unbelievable.
