About Me / Q&A
What got you into cosplay?
I always have liked anime, due to rebellion pretty much. My brother forbid me from watching Inuyasha and I didn't like being forbidden to do things so I always watched it at like 2:00 am when I was 9 and always change channels whenever my brother came to pretend I was doing nothing. :) Then I found other animes and I've been loving anime then I found sewing and saw that I'm pretty good for not having any teachers, except the ones the school gave like how to sew a gym bag and a pillow. I also fell in love with sewing I got instruction from my one mom's friend with my Coco costume which I entered in a contest but it didn't win anything D; Maybe because I lost my reference and they weren't sure what it looked like...:/ I've improved a lot but I need a new sewing machine the threads have started getting mixed together which gets annoying to sew and resew
What was your first costume and why?
Sugintou, I liked her character and design (ruffles) I also just wanted to test the water so to say so the costume didn't turn out great but it was completely hand sewn without a sewing machine
What is your favorite costume and why?
Either Kaito or Orihime they are both my best costumes so far and I generally like their characters :)
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Sesshomaru/Clair(Claymore) They both seem fun to do but a lot of working with making fake armor a little too advanced for my age, and I'm nit picky and my brother pretty much doesn't let me do any armor unless it's real metal ^^;
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Walking around as Kaito and having random people talk to me it was a great time (Otakon 2010)
Do you participate in masquerades?
No, I'm not allowed to take more than 1 person with me to conventions and my mother would protest to being in any skits with me :/
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a freshmen in High School with an average of around an A- and I swim, dance, do aerial arts and am in plays :)
