What got you into cosplay?
I don't really remember, actually. I guess something about dressing up and getting into character seemed fun, despite the fact that I have zero acting skills. I've also realized that cosplaying helps me make friends at cons, which is good because I'm very introverted.
What was your first costume and why?
Haku from Naruto. I like the character, and the outfit looked comfortable and easy to make (although my mom actually did all the sewing on that one). Also, I wanted something to wear to school on Halloween.
What is your favorite costume and why?
So far, Soren's outfit from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. It's very comfortable, but a bit warm. Oh, but the Hunter outfit was a lot of fun to wear and growl at people in, and people recognize it.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I'm insane and want to make Tira's 1P outfit from Soul Calibur IV. It's really cool-looking, if a bit revealing, but there are so many details and weird pieces... It's probably a couple years off, at the very least.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
I was cosplaying the Hunter and some random guy started growling at me and crouching over like he wanted to fight. It was pretty great. Also, there was a person in one of the gaming rooms who happened to have a bunch of Left 4 Dead sound clips on his computer. We had a lot of fun with that.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I got Best Presentation at SWACE 2009 for my Soren. Geneva was pleased.
