What got you into cosplay?
I helped my friend Ashley make a Miaka costume in high school for Ohayocon 2003. When I got to the con, I really felt out of place. My next con I started cosplaying, and have since.
What was your first costume and why?
costume: Merle from "Escaflowne: A girl in Gaia".
why: She was my favorite character at that time, and the costume was simple enough. For being a first costume, it came with every bad beginner's decision- using my real hair, duct tape and tin foil, and painting a dress the color it should be. uh huh. yeah.
What is your favorite costume and why?
favorite costume: telma
why: it's awesome. that's all that needs to be said.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
dream costume: something of my own original design or something inspired Amano. i like the shinies.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
most memorable: meeting Khota Hirano, the creator of hellsing in my zorin Blitz costume, and having him double take at my contacts.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes I do, but only by request/ with friends.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Ohayocon 2005- Soul Calibur Group backstage was perhaps one of the best times I've had. every other time after that was very Stressful. ;_;
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Yes, and not only my own, commissions and Friends as well.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm an alumni of Columbus College of Art & Design with a BFA (read bachelor's of fine arts) in Illustration/ Costume Illustration & Design. I currently Live in PA (read hate pa) and consider myself a nomadic spirit. I travel here and there from time to time. My current Job is being a supervisor/ Manager at Jo ann Fabrics, and freelance costumes/ illustration when ever I can find something. I have a doggie named Rigby, and Australian Shepherd, and I love my friends and Family. I enjoy tarot and tea, hanging out with friends and trying new things. i hate spiders. ;_; Currently single, but waiting for someone special. <3
