What got you into cosplay?
When I went to my first con (Otakon 2003), I felt strangely out of place being in normal clothes. I've always liked costumes and dressing up, so I thought it would be a fun idea to try.
What was your first costume and why?
Battousai from Ruruoni Kenshin (or Samurai X). The main outfit was comissioned, but the accessories and sword were home-made (aww). I also styled a wig for the poor thing a year later.
What is your favorite costume and why?
As of now, Rinoa. It's a character I've always wanted to portray but felt really weird about not having a Squall to go with me. It's also very comfortable and holds up pretty well throughout the day.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I can't think of a single costume I really strive to make. Even if I find something amazing I'm usually too intimidated to begin to tackle it. Most of those kind of costumes are very elegant and feminine costumes.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
I don't have one in particular. I've been treated well and that's all I can ask for.

The Planet Plan, Cowboy Bebop skit from Katsucon 2008. It was so much fun, I'd love to do it again!

Tell us a little about yourself
I'm currently a college student, studying Film. I'm beginning to work in the industry and so time for cosplay/conventions is unfortunatly suffering. I'm fortunate to have very supportive parents and friends, who keep me sane and laughing no matter what.
