What got you into cosplay?
I joined the 501st Legion in June of 2008. It was slow going, with me not finishing my costume until the end of October. Once I got that done, however, it was a quick and slippery slope into many new costumes and now I'm an undeniable addict!
What was your first costume and why?
Generic Imperial Officer, for entrance into the 501st Legion. It's a pretty bland costume, but it's been a great launching point for tons of others.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Head Six from Battlestar Galactica. The dress is very comfortable, wearing a wig means styling my hair is incredibly easy, and I get a very positive crowd response. Plus, any silly things I do are made automatically cooler by the fact that they're being done by Six!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Oh so many. Bellatrix L'Estrange is a current goal for Dragon*Con 2010, I think.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Dragon*Con 2009. The whole weekend. I can't even begin to pick an experience from that con.
Do you participate in masquerades?
No. Someday I might, though.
Tell us a little about yourself
I live and work in Boston, where I am happily married to my sewing machine. I collect tools, drive a sports car, troop regularly with the 501st and Rebel Legions, consistently become involved in more projects than I can hope to manage, and do all the geeky things I can manage.
