What got you into cosplay?
My husband wanted me to dress up as a character for my first convention, so I gave it a try with a little costume I bought off of E-bay. It was only after attending Anime Expo in 2006 when I realized that Cosplay wasn't just an artstyle, it was a way of life. I was obsessed with perfecting my Yuna costume from Final Fantasy X-2, and the moment a family let me hold their baby and little children were begging for my autograph, my heart was hooked: I wanted to cosplay and get into the business. I'm still relatively new, but my resolution this next year is total cosplay immersion.
What was your first costume and why?
Yuna from Final Fantasy X-2. She was sexy, funny, and sweet, and my husband somehow thought that she looked like me?
What is your favorite costume and why?
So far, my favorite costume is Yuna. Its shock and awe factor completely captivates all audiences. Little girls will run up to me and talk about how much I inspire them and how I'm such a rolemodel...totally blew my mind. No other costume has had such a drastic impact.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Yuna's Floral Fallal costume from X-2. It's exquisitely complicated and no one has pulled it off 100%. I'm going to be the first one to do it. Stilts and everything.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Anime Expo 2006 absolutely changed me. There are not enough words to describe what a beautiful experience that was.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Not yet! I will be soon. Like I said, this year is going to be completely immersed in crafts and creativity - Cosplay is way up on my list.
What was your best masquerade experience?

Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I generally don't enter costume contests - I don't feel I'm on par with the exquisite work that some of the more seasoned cosplayers have. When I am ready to be a contender, I will come packing!
Tell us a little about yourself
My name is Indi and I'm 23. I am no longer in college, but will be re-attending soon. I'm a full-time sales associate for Terminix Pest Control by day and a fashion designer, independent cosplay commissioner by night.
I am very spread out as far as women go: I'm a tomboy and it really shows in the way I carry myself. My tastes are very particular because of my creative drive and passionate spirit. I love to draw, sing, dance, write music, and generally create things. On the flipside, however, I am obsessed with science and even math. Eversince I dropped college, my mind's been aching to get in. I'm starting to soak in new pieces of knowledge every day and I'm thankful for the opportunity to learn new things.
