What got you into cosplay?
Hmmm not really sure. I just remember that I would always see other cosplayers over the internet, and while my other friends at the time thought it was really nerdy, I thought it looked kinda fun. So I decide to give a shot at doing my own cosplay for the fun of it, and that's what I love doing ever since.
What was your first costume and why?
My first cosplay was Histugaya Toushiro from Bleach, who was my favorite character at the time. Without any experience or knowledge of anything (sewing, prop making, etc), I went out and bought a cheap shinigami outfit, made the captain haori with some help, and threw together a sword. Overall, it was a pretty big fail, but I had alot of fun doing it, and paved way for my other cosplays up to today.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Kurosaki Ichigo from Bleach. It was my first "successful" cosplay, as everything came together well, nothing fell apart, and best of all I recieved so much praise and picture requests at cons. And since there's multiple variations of Ichigo, I can have a different cosplay while being the same character.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Cloud Strife from Kingdom Hearts. It's just one big bad-ass outfit and it would be awesome to wear at a con one day.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Almost every cosplay experience has been a memorable one. Not only has it boosted my self esteem, but I also got to meet many people by going to cons and everything. As weird as it sounds, cosplaying has helped me better myself as a person.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I've won 3 awards at the Planet Zero annual cosplay contests. I'm looking into entering bigger contests in the future though.
