What got you into cosplay?
My mom had heard that there were such things as anime conventions and decided to scope it out. She found one in Boston (Anime Boston 2003) and after researching, she made my first cosplay for me and we went (even though we didn't get in since attendance was capped.)
Since we did manage to get into PortConMaine 2003 and experience it, I decided that cosplay and cons were a lot of fun, so that's what started everything.
What was your first costume and why?
Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho. I can't lie; I was a rabid Kurama fangirl when I was in middle school. -shudder-
What is your favorite costume and why?
Tenma. Looks great and he's nice and comfortable to wear. The best part is that I don't sweat to death wearing it, but I can pull up the jacket if I ever get cold.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I'd love to make some really intricate video game cosplay such as something from Dynasty Warriors or Cecil from Final Fantasy IV.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Cosplaying as Tsuzuki from Yami no Matsuei with AlucardsDracula as Muraki for Otakon 2004. There was a point where we first got to the convention where one person asked for our photo and as we posed, a huge crowd gathered around us and my parents said there were at least 50 people and 7 who were taking photos. XDD
Do you participate in masquerades?
Five times now. Won an award the first time. ^^
PortConMaine 2003: Alucard and Integra from Hellsing. Won "Best Group" award. ;3
Anime Boston 2005: Tsume and Toboe from Wolf's Rain. Tsume parapara-ing and Toboe doing the chicken dance!
PortConMaine 2005: SAILOR GUNDAM.
Anime Boston 2006: Two Shuichis and one Yuki. I was a last minute sub-in for my friends' original Yuki since she dropped out. It was an AMAZING time though.
PortConMaine 2006: Randomly and last-minute planned walk-on with me as Nami from One Piece and a friend as Killua from Hunter x Hunter.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Anime Boston 2006. I was participating as a replacement Eiri Yuki with a couple good friends who live far away and who I don't get to see a lot. We made friends with a lot of other cosplayers there and just us wishing and getting wished good luck and all the congratulations given and received... it just felt amazing.

Tell us a little about yourself
I'm in college and have no idea wtf I want to do with my life, but ah well. My hobbies are obviously cosplay and I also enjoy photography quite a bit. I have an awesome family and the greatest friends. Meeting new people is a lot of fun and I'm always looking to make new friends. ;3
I also have an unhealthy obsession with Clean House, Brad Swaile, and Tales of Legendia. <3
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Be sure to have fun when in cosplay. ;3 Too many people get so stressed out that they forget to have a good time. So, even if things don't work out, have a good time!
