What got you into cosplay?
My sister would cosplay alot when I was younger. She'd also play video games all the time. I got really into them about 5 years ago but didn't actually start cosplaying until 3 years later.
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume was Olette from Kingdom Hearts 2 because she has my personality and it was an easy cosplay to do as a first. Plus, alot of my friends, including my sister, all cosplayed with me as characters from Twilight Town. It was pretty fun.
What is your favorite costume and why?
My favorite costume currently, is Elena from Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children because I have the whole turk group and we always have photoshoots and epic scenes. We have a personal photographer too. She's our "intern". xD Everyone is really cool.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I actually have alot of dream costumes. I eventually wanna do Kimberly from Power Rangers, Laughing Octopus from Metal Gear Solid 4, and many more.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
My most memorable experience was meeting Yaya Han at Saboten Con 2009. I've been a huge fan of hers for a very long time. When we met her, she complimented our costumes and said that we looked awesome. This made me so happy I literally ran down the halls yelling. For the rest of the weekend, I would randomly run into her everywhere and talk to her. She even knows me by name now. We went up and said hi everyday, and eventually my lovely girlfriend got me signed photos of her. Yaya said we were so sweet that she gave us a third photo free. It was by far, the greatest cosplay moment of my life and I would relive it anyday. <3
Do you participate in masquerades?
I will eventually. Not yet though because our group isn't that stable.
What was your best masquerade experience?
I just told you. Not yet. Stupid.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I haven't entered any contests so no. But I will. I don't doubt it.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a sophomore in highschool, almost 15 years old, and am in a relationship with a wonderful girl. I'm working to become a cosmetologist and love to style wigs. I'm usually just a normal teenager but occasionally, i'm extremely mature. But other times, i'm just an all-out spaz.
I love to cosplay, as it's the only thing that keeps me sane each and every day. I tend to plan a cosplay from every game I watch/play so I already have a huge list. Although, cosplaying is a very expensive hobby, and my mom gets fed up with it really easy. Sometimes it's funny to watch her get mad, but most of the time it's annoying as crap.
I'm currently in a cosplay duo with Lord Chimoku, who is also my girlfriend. We do every cosplay together, whether they're technically paired together or not. RJ and Sarah, our Rude and Reno, are also in alot of cosplays with us. They're both pretty cool too.
