What got you into cosplay?
When I went to my first convention (Sakura-Con '07), I was depressed after realizing I was practically the only person there who wasn't cosplaying or even dressed... cool... or interesting. I felt kind of... unworthy of being in the presence of so many amazing cosplayers. That day I bought an Akatsuki cloak in the Exhibition Hall, and that was the start of everything.
What was your first costume and why?
The first time I genuinely "attempted" to cosplay was at Sakura-Con '08. Since my Akatsuki cloak was still the only cosplay item I owned, it was not complete- I went as "semi"-Itachi. The friend I went with was Deidara, which was probably the only reason people recognized me as someone other than "generic Akatsuki fan", hahah...
What is your favorite costume and why?
My favorite cosplay so far, by far, is Mello. I spent hours searching the internet for the most accurate articles of clothing I could find without cheating through eBay or from specifically-for-cosplay sites. So much leather...
As for the rest, I made the rosary myself. My best friend helped me with the scar makeup and did an AMAZING job!
I don't like to wear wigs, so I dyed my hair and just had to style it- it's just a tiny bit short, but in less than a month it'll look fine. Hopefully by Sakura-Con 2010 I'll have lost 30 lbs. XDDD
As the only "completed" cosplay I've put together through scavenging, I'm proud of it. :)
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I have absolutely no costume-making skills whatsoever. I've never made anything except my Mello rosary, which took 7 hours and always falls apart, hahah XDDD However, if I could stop being lazy and handmake them, I'd like to learn how to sew myself an Italy costume. X3
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
My most memorable cosplay experience has by far been at Sakura-Con '09. My friend (Mello) and I (Matt) were sitting alone on a bench when we saw an L slinking towards us followed by another Mello.
After a very, VERY long hug, our Mellos got all pissy and jealous- L grabbed my hand and we literally RAN down several flights of moving escalators, almost tripped down stairs, and ended up wrestling on the ground.
I have a phobia of escalators due to a bad childhood experience. :| I was not going to ruin the moment by explaining this to L...
I will never forget the sheer terror flowing through me in those moments. XDDDD
It was horrifying, yet fun.~
Do you participate in masquerades?
I have never attended a masquerade, but I would like to eventually!
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I've never felt my cosplays were good enough to enter a contest, and therefore have never won any awards. If I ever decide I'm worthy enough to even be in last place, it'll be something actually handmade.

I'm in high school- a sophomore. I live with my parents and two cats, Tiki and Cookie. <3

Kingdom Hearts, KH II, & KH 358/2 Days. Spyro the Dragon (the original 3 for the PlayStation) and Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future.

I love how there's no specific MANGA section. :|
Death Note still tops all, followed by Naruto of course... My favorite manga series is Bakuman- no anime yet, but there's a Japanese VOMIC (voice comic) at s-cast.net.
My favorite character(s)
Death Note: Mello, Matt, Near, and Matsuda.
Naruto: The Akatsuki- especially Deidara, Sasori, and Konan- and Team Hebi- specifically Suigetsu & Karin.
Hetalia: ALL OF THEM!! But Italy gets honorable mention~ <3
