What got you into cosplay?
Actually...Sailor Moon. Long before I knew what cosplay was, I was running around in my room with a construction paper tiara, and a converted glitter baton as my Crescent Moon wand. Ah, those were good days
What was your first costume and why?
My first actual cosplay costume was affectionately named Elf Extra #4475. I made one of the elf extra's outfits from Lord of the Rings-Fellowship. It was an interesting way to begin, since it had a simple design but daunting materials.
What is your favorite costume and why?
I'm not sure I have one. I love and dread them all for a varying number of reasons. I like ACDF Officer cuz it makes me look cool and strong. But, I take the best pictures in Green Fae (even though it takes three people to help get me into it). So, I'm not sure there's a reigning favorite. Check back for updates though.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
The list is frighteningly long.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Texas Ren Fest 08. So many little girls wanted to talk to me, and I got to call them all princesses. I even made tips doing it!
Do you participate in masquerades?
I have before. And if I can get my friends over their stage fright, I hope to do more!
What was your best masquerade experience?
My only masquerade experience was pretty cool, I got to hang on a friends arm then throw a small tantrum...what's not to love about that?
Tell us a little about yourself
I graduated a couple years ago. Now I'm a desk jockey for the print industry, trying to decide if I want to do more school or not.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
When I'm not adding costumes to my To-Do list, I'm usually in dance rehearsal or writing bad fiction.
