What got you into cosplay?
Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved dressing up. Crafting, painting, sewing, and constructing have always been my favorite hobbies.. as well as playing tons of video games and burying myself in cute cartoony things.
Tranquility6487 invited me to come with her to a convention in 2004, and ever since then I haven't been able to stop! It was like all my favorite things rolled up into one.
What was your first costume and why?
My very first cosplay was Noriko from Battle Royale. I bought all of the items and "fixed" them up... it was such a complete mess!
I just remember feeling so excited about wearing my uniform.. I loved the book/movie, and I had made the costume all by myself. Even though it was complete fail, wearing it at the convention was so cool and I'll never forget it.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
All of my experiences with cosplay have been memorable. I have met so many new friends, learned so many new things, and had such good times in the short amount of time I've been doing this.
I hope to meet many new faces and grow in my abilities with sewing and costuming, and also to have more fun times being a big nerd and doing what I love!
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Yes. It is extremely cool to have won awards for these costumes.. everyone involved had put so much hard work into them and it's nice to be recognized for that.

Tell us a little about yourself
I am in school. I attend Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, and I'm about to finish my BA with focus on chemistry and art.
I have many hobbies. These include: Gaming, doll collecting, sculpting, drawing, photography, making music, costuming (of course), collecting & building Gundam models/cool Lego sets.. etc etc.
My favorite anime
My favorites are (not in order) FLCL, Cowboy Bebop, Dragonball, Paranoia Agent, Dead Leaves, Ranma 1/2, Azumanga Daioh, and Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Pretty much anything by Satoshi Kon or Akira Toriyama makes me smile.
My favorite game(s)
Anything Nintendo is my favorite.
I also love to play: Dance Dance Revolution, In the Groove, Beatmania, O2Jam, all those goofy rhythm games! The Sims, Shin Megami Tensei series, Disgaea, other cool RPG's.
My favorite actors/actresses
