About Me / Q&A
What got you into cosplay?
I like crafting and sewing, and I would watch convention videos in middle school. I eventually decided to go myself.
What was your first costume and why?
Hermione Granger, for the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It was cute.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Kid Loki from Journey Into Mystery (Marvel). He's a cute character, well liked, and I have fun props to use.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
XJ9 from My Life as a Teenage Robot. My actually name is Jenny so this is a required costume.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Ha, well recently I went to a Hetalia meet-up at a festival where representatives from different countries set of booths and sell food, crafts, native clothes etc. I was dressed in China's military uniform. I went to go try and find something to drink from the South Koreans, because I was dressed in the works and it was 92 degrees out, and they were just so tickled by my costume they had call over the people working the next booth over to see me. It was kind of embarrassing but everyone who cosplays Hetalia learns that lesson.
Do you participate in masquerades?
What was your best masquerade experience?
At my first competition, we did Gay or European (There Right There from Legally Blonde) as the cast of Hetalia. We won and got a bunch of bad self-published mangas that we still pass around as gag gifts. They never go away.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Best in Show (costume)
Best Group (skit)
