What got you into cosplay?
On a trip to Archon I realized I had a medieval dress, and decided it needed to be worn.
What was your first costume and why?
That said medieval dress, because I had been very much into the historical fantasy ideology.
What is your favorite costume and why?
My recent favorite was the dark version of Ky... One, because, its...well...Ky....and if a costume makes you want to be a better person, then...its worth wearing. And two...its so cool and black and gold and shiny.....and the sword helps. And three...I could still wear it after five years. Then I grew attached to Kadaj. I had more fun in him...I could be a little bit snarkier, and clone vinyl seemed to be flattering somehow.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Not...anymore. We'll just see what happens next, and that will be my next big dream! ^.^
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Roadtripping across almost the entire united states, and making costumes in the car the whole way there. One night its too hot to bear, the next I'm shivering in the mountains.
Do you participate in masquerades?
As frequently as I can! But not as much as I -could,- I suppose. It seems when I do a masquerade, I don't get to do anything at the con. Much sadness.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Iverillian finally beats out Clover, since having judges that had been cosplaying for 50 years come up and tell us how wonderful our costumes were and how prepared our skit was when we had just written it that morning is really a feeling of accomplishment.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
The list is of a decent length, actually...I've gotten awards at Acen, PMX, Otakon, Youmacon, Archon, Kazecon....
Tell us a little about yourself
Graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering, but still don't know what to do with my life. Its fun to take time off and just create.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Costumes are _stressing._ Period. I know there are nights when I wake up in a cold sweat having those convention dreams where my costume isn't done. I don't need that stress, but...the end results have always been worth it.
