What got you into cosplay?
I think I must have seen cosplayers at the first convention I went to and got interested in it from that. (it's been so long I can hardly remember..I have a bad memory...) My sister and I had always enjoyed art so we jumped right in!
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume was the girl version of Ranma from Ranma 1/2. It was the second anime I got into after Sailor Moon, and I was quite in love with it!! It was also relatively simple to put together a costume with help from my mom.
What is your favorite costume and why?
My favourite costume was Link from Ocarina of Time!!! I've always been a HUGE Zelda fan, so making the sword and shield was the ultimate happiness for me!! Even though it was ghetto and I didn't have a wig, it was still my best cosplaying experience to date.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
- Someday, perhaps Princess Zelda...! :)
- Sleeping beauty's blue dress
- twin cosplay with my sister as Naria and Eriya from the Escaflowne movie
Do you participate in masquerades?
I have once, as Link. Didn't really do a skit though, just had the MC introduce me and posed with my sword/shield a bit. It was fun, but not sure I'd do it again as it's a bit nerve-wracking!
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I got a beginner (I think?) ribbon for my Link costume, and was very pleased ^^
