What got you into cosplay?
My college friends - if it weren't for them, I probably never would've gone to a con. I'm not sure if that's good or bad, haha.
What was your first costume and why?
Haku from Naruto. My friends were doing a Naruto group and I really liked Haku's character, so it was a pretty easy decision.
What is your favorite costume and why?
The Earl from D.Gray-man, for many different reasons. First of all, it was a real challenge to make. Secondly, it really looks like the character (IMO). Last but not least, it hides my entire body... so I don't have to be self-conscious, haha.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I don't really have any specific "dream costume", but I have a few I'd like to do: Delita, Mai, Nene, Asch...
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
On Saturday of Otakon '05, I decided to change out of my I-no costume because my feet hurt like hell. On the way back to the hotel, I walked by three buff older men and a man in a suit who were sitting together at a table of outside cafe. They stopped me and asked politely what was going on. After giving them a brief explanation, they said, "You have the best costume we've seen so far!" and then asked to take a picture with me. As it turns out, they were professional major league baseball players having lunch with a rep!
Do you participate in masquerades?
Nope, doesn't interest me at all. I can't say that I wouldn't like the attention, but I don't want the gossip and bad-mouthing that goes with it.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Yes - I won 1st place (novice division) at Anime Boston '07 for my Earl costume. I was really honored... and shocked!
Tell us a little about yourself
I just graduated with a degree in Japanese - yeah, way to major in something useless, I know. Other than that, I like to draw and waste time. I also like cats.

Maybe a side of fries.

I don't watch anime, but I do like manga. I read Air Gear, FMA, xxxHOLiC, D.Gray-man and Bleach.

Final Fantasy Tactics and Okami.

East of Eden, As Meat Loves Salt, Howl's Moving Castle, Harry Potter and Out.
My favorite character(s)
Right now... probably Doumeki Shizuka.
