What got you into cosplay?
Well this is how it all happened: it was during college, and I had recently rekindled my love of fruitsnacking (you know, like Shark Bites®), a joy I had forgotten with the advent of Wheat Thins 5 Grain Crunch®. To my dismay one day, I discovered my stockpile had been completely, depletely depleted. I looked outside; outside looked cold.
The thing about Ithaca is, not only is it in the wasted frozenland of upstate New York, but it's as windy as Chicago. The wind chill was 6º on that February day -- but that was 6 more reasons to replenish my cache of sweetness. With a scarf wrapped around my head all ninja-like, I trudged to the store with unninja-like speed.
Yes! I made it.
Shit! I forgot my wallet.
"Hi," said the store owner......
And THAT was the PIVOTAL MOMENT when I came to this STARTLING REALIZATION:
How could the moon kingdom in sailormoon® have been possible?! -- there's no freakin atmosphere on the moon, DAMNIT!

What was your first costume and why?
Hmm....I needed to even out a T-shirt tan.
And since Anji Mito's costume is just sleeves -- I was in business......

A more accurate Anji.
I got the costume part down.
The steroids is the part I'm having trouble with. (I don't swallow pills well)

I'm a hardcore gamer, slight otaku, and newbie cosplayer.
Cornell B.S. in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Procrastination.
I'm a comedic "film"maker by hobby, and my original shorts have aired at a few conventions and seen slight-to-moderate internet notoriety.
