What got you into cosplay?
I decided to start out cosplaying when I first went to FanimeCon in 2007, because I'd heard of it and wanted to see what it was like for myself.
What was your first costume and why?
My first cosplay was Rinoa Heartilly from Final Fantasy VIII. I look really good in blue and I have thick, luxurious black hair like Rinoa's, so I thought I'd be as good at being Rinoa as any other person.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Rinoa. Hands down. Any and all of her costumes.
We are rather similar in terms of being cute and friendly, black-haired, and short (though I'm a full three inches shorter at 5'0"). I love the fact that I can become her without much fuss--I just need to style my hair, put on makeup and my necklace, then bam! Instant Rinny xD
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Oerba. Yun. Fang.
A blue sari has been my dream outfit since forever! Blue is not a popular sari color for whatever reason, so I knew I'd have to make one anyway. I've also always wanted to cosplay a British character so I could speak in the accent, but none of them had outfits I particularly liked. (Including the entire HP series--I'm cosplaying BEAUXBATONS.) And heck, I've always wanted to take a crack picture with a Demyx but never found any semi-valid excuse.
UNTIL NOW! Sooooo, I would like to thank Squeenix to the bottom of my heart for making Oerba Yun Fang xD.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Cosplaying Belle at Halloween of 2009. I got recognized a fair few times, and when I told people I made my entire costume they were stunned!
Do you participate in masquerades?
No--although I would like to.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm an aspiring novelist and screenwriter.
