About Me / Q&A

What got you into cosplay?
My girlfriend got me to take the final leap, but I've always had some interest ever since I learned about it during one of the first AWA that I attended. Pretty sure it was the second or third year of the con, way back when it was still held at the Mariott on Pleasant Hill.
What was your first costume and why?
Kyo Kusanagi from King of Fighters 99'-2002 for several reasons. One, there's the fact that it's my favorite incarnation of the character's several costumes. Two, it is a very stylish, modern costume that can be worn in daily wear; something that was important because of financial issues. And three, it is a comfortable costume. Last thing I wanted was to be wearing something uncomfortable my first time trying something new.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Kaname's Cloud Strife. One of my favorite characters (FFVII fanboy for life) and it is an inspiration to aspire to perfection. A favorite of my costumes well, I've only completed one, so I'll reserve judgement on that.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Sephiroth from FFVII, though I honestly doubt it'll ever happen because of how much of a perfectionist I am. I've never seen a commercial costume that I feel does the character justice, and I doubt I'll ever have the sewing skills or money to accurately make it. I'd also like to use my own hair instead of a wig and I don't foresee any way of growing my hair out past my waist. lol
Do you participate in masquerades?
Haven't yet, not saying that I wouldn't though.
My favorite anime
Gundam, preferably the older series. Evangelion, Ghost in the Shell, Gurren Lagann,
My favorite game(s)
Final Fantasy series, VII reigns as my favorite. Street Fighter series, Guilty Gear series, Soul Calibur series. I'm a huge fighting game geek.
