I'm a junior at Auburn University, majoring in Costume Design for Theatre (though I want to do film). I've been cosplaying for 4 years (since AWA 2004), but it feels like longer than that! lol My favorite cons are Anime Expo and Dragon*con (for VERY different reasons!) and I love performing in masquerades with the cosplay group I co-founded with Velvy, Coconut Bubble Sex Cosplay. (No, there's really not a good reason behind the name- it started out as a joke and stuck because we thought it was so funny.)

What got you into cosplay?
My fangirlism, of course.
What was your first costume and why?
Haruko from FLCL because she's totally GAR (and I thought the costume would make a good first).
What is your favorite costume and why?
My 3 'Y' costumes! Yoko, Yuuko, and Yukari!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Oh, several! Mylene Jenius from Macross 7, Misato from Evangelion, Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop, Umi from MKR, Kaoru from Kenshin, and Lynn Minmay from Macross: DYRL.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Epic fun times at cons- I can't pick just one!
Do you participate in masquerades?
Almost always. My group, Coconut Bubble Sex Cosplay performs at AX every year (and an assortment of cons outside California) with our crack-inspired skits for laughs.
