What got you into cosplay?
Honestly I just wanted to dress up as my favourite Bleach character, Zaraki Kenpachi. Then I began attending conventions such as AAC and Anime Boston and the rest was history.
What was your first costume and why?
Zaraki Kenpachi. I loved the outfit design and the materials were very comfortable. After I began attending conventions my first non-bought cosplay was a stalker from Ragnarok Online.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Probably my Iron Man MK VI now because it is the first armoured suit that I have made. It is also the first outfit I have made from start to completion. Also children absolutely loved seeing me. It was as if they had just met the real Iron Man.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Probably a more durable and accuracte version of Iron Man. Aside from that I do want to eventually make a Monster Hunter armour suit.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Although it's not exactly a cosplay experience, it has to be the Stereopony Concert a few years back at Anime Boston. It was just so phenominal that I'll never forget it.
Do you participate in masquerades?
I participate in the walk-on category.
What was your best masquerade experience?
When my daughter, her mother, and I did a Ragnarok Online cosplay walk-on. The two of them walked across stage and as the approached the center, I came dashing out from off stage, snagged my 1 year old daughter out of her hands, and ran off stage. Stalkers are thieves, after all.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Not to date, but I plan to!
