What got you into cosplay?
Well I first got into anime and manga then I got those anime magazines like Newtype and stuff and saw the people wearing costumes in them and i was like *O.O gasp...i want to do that!* XD so i started experimenting and put together an inuyasha costume for Fanime 2004 along with a Hatsu-Haru and a Black Kitty ^_^ I've been hooked since...
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume was Inuyasha because that was my first real anime love ~_^v (Though I went back and rediscovered Escaflowne and other later of course, I love the old school stuff)
What is your favorite costume and why?
constantly changing but currently it's: Yuya Shiina~ I only got to wear this once so I hope to wear it again soon ;.; Dante DMC1/Anime~Costume looks simple but I sewed my own pants, made my sword, and broke at least 5 needles working on the vest @_@ I love it to bits and i'll definitely be wearing this costume for many more conventions in the future. Trish DMC4~ so much extra work went into that thing it was insane. I thought about remaking it but I honestly would rather go back and remake my DMC1 Trish first when I get the chance @_@ If my costume list will ever shrink that is lol Freuling~ I looking like a freaking yakuza leader, muhahahahaha
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I achieved one so far: Asarella from Masca =3 I want to make Deunan's battle suit from Appleseed someday if I could get a friend to pair up with me as Tereus. I've never seriously messed with armor before so it'll definitely be a while, especially just to get the funds @_@ Also Motoko's battle outfit, and maybe Asta from Trinity Blood.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
~My first time cosplaing when I was as Inuyasha and a little girl came up to me and asked if she could touch me^O.O^(not in a perverted way) I felt so honored XD...and also the first time someone asked to take my picture...I forgot which costume I had though... ~When I wore my Chrno Truth cosplay for the first time with the wings and at least three people came up to me and asked if I was entering the cosplay contest...entered but didn't win but I was still happy that I tried it because I never entered a contest before ^.^ ~ToA'07 got my pic taken tons of times, and at least 5 different people basically came up to me and said I had a great ra...er I mean PERSONALITY. lmao ~Fanime'07 watching Vasher sneak into the boys bathroom...roflmao -meeting Reuben again -a few other Trish cosplay related experiences =) ~Meeting my out of state(and some in state) friends at EXPO! I love you guys! ^.^ ~Winning a trophy at Wondercon with Vasher, it was a truly amazing experience because I've never owned a trophy before in my life ;_;
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yup, usually at small cons or cons i'm semi-familiar with. I doubt i'll enter the one for Fanime anytime soon because I always have so many other things to do with my friends that I could consider it such as panels, meeting the GoH, and running to all the gatherings with friends.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Devil May Mommy skit at ToA'07 I had a ball running around finding all of the Devil May Cry cosplayers and thinking up hilarious stuff to do on stage together! -Entered at AX with mah smexy wonderful friends/senpai's =3 for Trinity Blood. -AOD~ ~AOD~winning my first ever award in a masquerade, I had the "wait they didn't just say our group name did they?!?!" moment XD ~Winning Best Recreation at Wondercon. Biggest OMG moment ever.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
YUS! at AOD: Group Name: DMX! Friends as Vergil and Nero with me as Dante. Skit was "Rejected May Cry" =3 ~We won runner up Best in Show. Yaoi-con as Dante: Best construction with Vasher(Vergil) and Crosscord(Isaak). Wondercon: Best Recreation, Me as DMC4 Trish and Vasher as Ada Wong <3 aka sexy legs ^_~
Tell us a little about yourself
In college right now, San Jose State U. I have so much manga and anime in my dormroom that whenever someone comes in they have a shocked look on their face ^.^; not to mention all my huge posters on my wall, mostly DMC, Bleach, GitS, KHII, and DoC XD
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I love drawing and doing other assorted arts and crafts...and i mean a lot XD Paint Shop Pro 9 and Photoshop are my peeps, i love rodents :3, andddd my favorite color is different shades of blue. I can proudly say I have my sewing machine in my dormroom XD along with some of my costumes! and yay for extreme procrastination =) and I think I bought too much DMC doujins at fanime and AX, i feel like I have them all now XD I like cosplay and crossplay equally, but I'm uh "well-endowed" so it starts hurting if I crossplay too much D=

Devil May Cry 3sp, Final Fantasy VII, X, DoC, XII, XIII(I know i'll love it), Legend of the Dragoons, DDR Extreme and Max2...I have DMC1and 2 but have had no time to play D= argh evil college! Totally drooling over DMC4, poor Johnny has to scream so freaking much as Nero XD
