What got you into cosplay?
I loved anime. A girl I met at camp told me about conventions and cosplay and I dove right in.
What was your first costume and why?
My first convention costume was Gunner Yuna. She's kick-ass and my hair looked like hers at the time ^_^;; I won an award at Otakon 2004 for it in the Youth Category!
What is your favorite costume and why?
I love all my costumes. All of my costumes reflect me in a different way. My favorite costumes are: Mello - because DN has been my favorite series for years, I resemble Mello in odd ways, and he means a lot to me. Hikaru - I love cosplaying with my Twinnie Nami as my Kaoru. We fit they're personality perfectly and it means so much to me that we can share that.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Ritsuka (Red Artbook outfit)
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Right now it's Katsucon 2008. I was in a skit and had the time of my life <3
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes! MangaNext 2007 - Ouran group<br> AnimeNext 2007 - KKM Skit<br> Katsucon 2008 - The Ballad of La Resistance<br> AnimeNext 2008 - Make a Host out of you! (Ouran Exhibition skit)
What was your best masquerade experience?
Oh God definitely La Resistance! Fun times practicing outside in the cold for 3 hours on Friday! XD It was just amazing! We won Best in Show!
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Yes! 2nd place youth division for Gunner Yuna at Otakon 04!
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a high school student, love anime, manga, video games, Visual/oshare kei and j-rock music. Some of my favorite bands are Gazette, Antic Cafe, D'espairs Ray, Dir en grey, and Psycho le cemu. I'm really into fashion especially gothic lolita, Japanese street fashion, and punk fashion - someday I hope to be a fashion designer and be in a Japanese magazine ^_^;;
