About Me / Q&A

What got you into cosplay?
Motor City Comic Con - I saw all the costumes there in 2001 and thought "Oh my gosh - how neat! You can actually BE your favorite character!" I've been hooked ever since ;3
What was your first costume and why?
Sailor Moon, because I have been addicted since I was very young. I remember waking up early before the bus would come to sit and watch Sailor Moon. So I asked my daddy to buy me a costume when I went to the 2002 Motor City Comic con. I got hit on by creepy old men. Pretty sure I won't be making the same mistake twice.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Any costume I'm working on at the time. If I didn't like it more than the last, then I would just wear the last one that I wore and improve it. If there's one thing that I've learned, it's that there's always room for improvement.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Freya from Chobits
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Being approached for pictures by a middle aged couple wearing Sailor Moon shirts. I've met them 3 times at the same con, twice as Sailor Moon and once as Sailor Jupiter.
Do you participate in masquerades?
I have not yet, but I would love to!
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Yes, I won second place in the Motor City Comic Con costume contest for crossplaying as the Phantom of the Opera. I think it was because I sang for my 'stage time,' and threw a red rose to a pretty lady in the front row ;3
Tell us a little about yourself
In college at Oakland University. My hobbies are weight lifting, judo, video games, and anything artistic.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I'd love to find some friends in the area to go to cons with and cosplay with. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you're interested! I'm Lilly Inverse on facebook.
