What got you into cosplay?
I've always been interested, but did not discover there was a local convention until several years ago.
What was your first costume and why?
My first real costume was Kagura from Inuyasha. The style and character appealed to me, but also because as she was a recognizable character, yet not overdone at the time.
What is your favorite costume and why?
I love my Kagura (FB) outfit simply because it's comfortable to wear, and the dress flatters me a bit better than some. But my newest costume (Micaiah from Fire Emblem) might shape up to be my new favorite.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I don't have anything specific in mind right now.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
There are too many to pick one as most memorable. For the most part, the whole experience has been fun.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Not so much.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
No, but it's not something I aspire to achieve.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'll be transferring to a university this fall now that I've completed my associates degree. I studied abroad in Japan last summer and I'm interested in furthering my language studies, possibly teaching English as a second language after I graduate.
I have general hobbies like playing video games, etc. But I also enjoy writing in my spare time and collecting art.
My favorite anime
Can't decide. One of my favorite manga is Basara though.
My favorite game(s)
I've played video games for nearly the entirely of my life so it's too difficult to pick just one. I tend to go back to childhood favorites like "Death Tank" and "Tempo" when I feel nostalgic.
My favorite book(s)
Once again, no strong favorite. But I am fond of "John Dies at the End."
My favorite character(s)
Eh, I try not to pick favorites, but I tend to lean towards the less likable ones.
My favorite movies(s)
I'm fairly critical of "bad" movies, but I watch so many movies I can't narrow down my favorites.
My favorite actors/actresses
I'm not interested in actors/actresses beyond their acting ability in the movies I like.
