What got you into cosplay?
I became obsessed with the video game Bust-A-Groove and really wanted to dress like one of the characters. A couple years later, I decided to put together a Selphie costume for Halloween.
What was your first costume and why?
Frida from Bust A Groove for Halloween of 6th grade. She was my favorite character and the costume seemed simple enough to put together.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Currently? Selphie and Elena probably.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
There's too many.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Every now and then.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Beatmania Group at Youmacon 2007
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Yes, I won an award for my Selphie cadet uniform.
Tell us a little about yourself
I am currently a junior in college--attending the University of Iowa as a Journalism & Japanese major. I have a silly kitty named Molly, a large cat named Ollie, and a toothless dog named Poco, whom I both love very much. I love to draw, write in my journal, write fanfiction and in RPG's. I am completely obsessed with NANA. I thoroughly enjoy watching Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, and Gilmore Girls. I love to eat sesame chicken while drinking gallons of Mr. Pibb. I like to basically just do fun things with my friends. I currently work at the university bookstore. And totally hate it. But, hey, I need monies.
