What got you into cosplay?
I've always liked the idea of dressing up. I like to dress up and put on a different persona; it creates this new identity and ego that humans have the capability to do.
What was your first costume and why?
Dream Peter Pan, as it was entitled.
My friends and I wanted to do Disney; we love DIsney to death.
I picked Peter because I've always felt connected with him. Plus the version I did include leaves, and I love leaves (I love Romanticism in general).
I'm Asian, and surely Peter's not Asian - but I don't care!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I love Alexander McQueen and Lady Gaga because of their artistic style. So far I only have 2 dream costumes I'm not close to making is:
-The latex crowned suit Gaga wore in the first chorus of the Bad Romance video. Except I wanna make it a guy version into an actual suit.
-One of the final runway pieces of Alexander McQueen's "Pantheon as Lecum." I want to recreate the piece where the model is completely inside the "ball-like" dress. It doesn't have to be a dress.
It is sort of a vessel that can left to the imagination.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
First first con when I was dressed as Peter Pan.
The interactions with other Peters and Tinks are beautifully connecting (cause of our characters!)
And there were some adults who treated me like I'm the actual Peter Pan and we did some images together.
Because of this, I might actually do Peter Pan frequently!
Tell us a little about yourself
One of the biggest art fields I enjoy doing is photography, but I don't limit myself to just photography. I also sketch, paint, play the piano, act (improv), design, etc.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I've never cosplay before, but I've been creating costumes, props (est other things) for years (for my photography) that could have been contributed to cosplaying. Why did I start so late?!
My favorite anime
I'm not a fan of anime - I know, massacre me. The only anime I like is Hayao Miyazaki's (and some Ghibli non-Hayao films).
However, I do like (kind of like-KIND OF) Pokemon, Cardcaptor, and yeah that's it...
My favorite game(s)
Legend of Zelda: Windwaker - it's a classic!
My favorite book(s)
Mainly the classics (The Necklace, Oliver Twist, Grat Expectations, etc).
And what kind of person does not love the Harry Potter series and Lemony Snicket?
