Leesers
Lyse graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2008 with a BFA in Illustration. When she's not overwhelmed with work or busy drawing cat-squids, you can find Lyse hibernating in her hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She loves to draw silly comics, sew ridiculous looking cat plushies, and drink hot chocolate (with plenty of marshmallows) after a brisk December walk.
You can reach her by e-mail with any questions or comments, unless she's busy doing her impression of a Tusken Raider; in which case you'll just have to wait.
What got you into cosplay?
I first became interested when I dressed up as Sally from the Nightmare Before Christmas one Halloween, but I became really hooked when I started cosplaying as Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3.
What was your first costume and why?
Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, because I absolutely love the movie and her.
What is your favorite costume and why?
It would have to be Heather or Ema. They're both addictions; I adore the characters, games, and can't stop making their different costumes.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I'd really love to make Ulala and Baofu from Persona 2 for myself and Solstice_Wind, but I'm not sure how well I could make Baofu's crazy suit. Although I'd love to eventually try. :)
Tell us a little about yourself
I graduated with a BFA in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art in May 2008. I hope to eventually illustrate children's books or publish my own comic somewhere like Oni Press or Top Shelf. I also love to make weird cat-squid plushies and characters out of sculpey.
And I dress up as Heather. A lot.

The Silent Hills, The Ace Attorneys, Persona 2, Rule of Rose, Professor Layton, Trace Memory and Bust a Groove.
