What got you into cosplay?
My best friend since preschool cosplayed and went to anime conventions, so when I moved back and got to hang out with her for more than just one week a year she started bringing me to cons with her.
What was your first costume and why?
Ruri Hoshino from Martian Successor Nadesico. At the time I was obsessed with Nadesico, it's still one of my favorite anime! Ruri was my favorite character from the show and lucky for me her costume is not super complicated, which is good because I'm still only now learning how to sew things properly. The costume sucked, but I had a lot of fun in it anyway.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Of the costumes I've done I'd say my favorite at the moment is Ramza, because I had a lot of fun trying to make the proportions on it crazy exaggerated like the artwork (giant gloves, shoulders, and boots, narrow waist, mile long legs.) It's also better made than any of my older costumes, since before that one I mostly found pre-existing garments and modified/butchered them to look like the costume I was trying to make.

Fruits Basket, Cowboy Bebop, Akira, Martian Succesor Nadesico, Record of Lodoss War, Roujin Z, Iria, Slayers, The Last Unicorn, Alien 9, Ouran Highschool Host Club, Special Duty Combat Unit SHINESMAN!, Dragon Half, Perfect Blue, Dragon Ball Z, Vampire Hunter D, and Trigun. And I hate to love them, but Mythical Detective Loki and Nerima Daikon Brothers
