What got you into cosplay?
Watching the people cosplaying at Kunicon, St. Louis which was my first con. The cosplay was limited but what I saw for the most part was good stuff.
What was your first costume and why?
Thief King Bakura (Yu-Gi-Oh) Because I like the character and I thought it would make an awsome, if not slightly hard, first cosplay. Even though the entire costume was found for the most part. Though I did work really hard on the beadwork back then too
What is your favorite costume and why?
Earth King Kuei (Avatar: The Last Airbender): It's just a beautiful costume and I look good in it for once. A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into it to get it done for costume con between construction and research. It's one of the few costumes of late I've put 110%+ into.
Yugi Moto (Yu-Gi-Oh): Because I love Yugi. He needs more cosplay love. I've moved Yugi into my first slot on favorite costumes because the more I wear it and work through problems with aspects of it the more I love it and the more I learn.
Thief King Bakura (Yu-Gi-Oh) because it was my first.
Atlantis King Dartz (Yu-Gi-Oh): It's my first costume that I totally made myself.
Silent Magician (Yu-Gi-Oh): It gets the most attention but then again how can you miss a huge fushia/hot pink hat?
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Silent Swordsman (Yu-Gi-Oh)
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
The wonderful Yu-Gi-Oh cosplay group at ACEN 2005. They were fun to hang out with and it was nice to see other people cosplaying the show.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Occasionally. Usually only at Archon or CostumeCon.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Winning Best in Show with the Addams Family group at Archon 34. The audience response to the presentation was amazing. It was nice to get that kind of response from the masses.
Winning Best in Show: Workmanship with "Let My People Go." at Archon 35 because it was an honor to be in a group of such amazing Master level costumers who have been doing this long than I have and to have won a workmanship award with them was amazing.
