What got you into cosplay?
I went to my first anime convention in 2004, and saw many wonderful cosplays there. At first, I only modified clothes or commissioned my cosplays, but since 2007 (or late 2006), I make them myself.
What was your first costume and why?
My very first cosplay made by yours truly was Kinomoto Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura, Tobira wo Akete Version. It was also my first time making a prop (her clow staff) and modifying shoes.
What is your favorite costume and why?
My favourite cosplay so far is Harley Quinn from the DC Universe (Batman). She's my favourite female villain ever since I was a little girl, and I have always dreamed of dressing up as her, even before I knew what cosplay was.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I didn't find a "dream" cosplay yet, but something that I'd love to do one day that would push my skills further is to do the Red King from Accel World. I've never done armor before, so when I will, it will be a challenge.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Cosplaying Harley Quinn at Montreal Comiccon 2012. I've never had so many people want to take a picture WITH me, rather than take a picture OF me. I even got asked by little children if they can take a picture with me, they were so cute. <3
Do you participate in masquerades?
I usually don't, but I have participated in 3 masquerades so far. I don't like spending most of my day in a green room.
What was your best masquerade experience?
My best masquerade experience was the 1st one I ever did, at Otakuthon 2007. Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu wasn't dubbed just yet, so there weren't many Haruhi cosplayers at that time. We were the 1st group to dance "Hare Hare Yukai". It's my best masquerade experience since it's from one of my favourite series, and because my other masquerade experiences were walk-ons.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I've won a ribbon at Montreal Mini-Comiccon 2012. Since I don't like entering masquerades, I don't have many opportunities to win any awards. xD;
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a student with a part-time job, but I still manage to find time to make cosplays and attend conventions. I love singing, dancing, reading, drawing and (of course) cosplaying.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I listen/sing/dance to J-Pop & K-Pop and I love watching horror movies, Anime & J-Drama.
