About Me / Q&A

What got you into cosplay?
Everyone just looked so pretty in their costumes! I thought, 'they must feel great!' And well, it does! x3
What was your first costume and why?
Ema Skye from Phoenix Wright. One of my favorite games, and she just happened to look like me. i always thought she was pretty cute, and I wanted to be able to find other people from my game to gorup with!
What is your favorite costume and why?
Officer Jenny! You have no clue how many people will scream out, 'Officer Jenny!' every three steps you take. I think I should just make it my big well known cosplay! What an ego boost!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Pinoko from Blackjack. When I find out how to properly make that dress, I assure you, I'll be fitting into that and running around with a yellow puppy plushie searching for my Black Jack!
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Officer Jenny; see above.
Do you participate in masquerades?
I did once, with a girlfriend of mine. She wasn't willing to dance with me. that was the last one I did, but it won't be my actual last! I'll be helping host the Masquerade at Florida Supercon 2013! Doctor Who themed!!
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Yes I have! I actually won best female cosplayer at Orlando Anime Day once when I dressed up as Ema Skye!
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm in college very part time for graphics and 3-D, and about to go into a butt load of self study on these programs that will hopefully lead to getting a job in said career field. My job is alright; same droll routine every week; same customers. I love my customers, mind you, but who really wants to take orders every day of their life? I'm an artist in traditional, digital, and craftsmanship. I hope to hand make every piece of my cosplays, and if not, I would not mind telling people whom did have their hands in helping me, or when I purchased what from.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
If you're an aspiring cosplayer, tutorials really help a lot. It takes a careful eye, and every piece of detail you can add to a costume always helps. You don't have to be the prettiest, or the best at cosplaying to enjoy yourself. It's not about popularity contests; it's about dressing up nerdy, getting noticed, and sometimes acting out ridiculous scenes that you wish your favorite characters would do!
